A Solar Production Incharge oversees the manufacturing or assembly operations of solar photovoltaic (PV) modules and inverters. They direct daily production targets, enforce quality control standards like ISO and IEC, and manage manpower, machinery, and inventory to minimize defects and maximize plant efficiency.Core ResponsibilitiesProduction Planning: Develop and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet organizational output goals.Quality Assurance: Monitor assembly lines (stringing, lay-up, lamination, and testing) to ensure products meet IEC and ISO specifications.Process Optimization: Identify production bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean, 5S, and Kaizen to reduce waste and rework.Team Leadership: Allocate manpower across shifts, mentor line supervisors, manage workplace discipline, and enforce strict health and safety protocols.Equipment & Inventory: Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure machine uptime (stringers, laminators, flash testers) and track raw material stock to prevent production delays.Key Requirements & QualificationsEducation: A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Electronics Engineering.Experience: Typically 3 to 8+ years of manufacturing experience, with a proven track record in the solar PV or renewable energy sector.Technical Skills: Familiarity with solar testing machinery, reading electrical schematics, and an understanding of international testing standards (IEC 61215/61730).Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, fault-diagnosis, and excellent communication skills.
