Role Purpose: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated IB Homeroom Teacher who will play a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience of our students. The ideal candidate will inspire learners to explore and engage with the IB curriculum while fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the IB curriculum, promoting critical thinking and inquiry-based learning.
• Facilitate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely feedback and support to enhance learning outcomes.
• Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the diverse needs of learners.
• Engage with parents and the school community to communicate student progress and foster a strong partnership in education.
• Participate in professional development activities and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices.
• Contribute to the school’s extracurricular programs, promoting student engagement beyond the classroom.

Team Collaboration: The IB Homeroom Teacher will work closely with fellow educators, administrative staff, and support personnel to create a cohesive educational experience for students. Collaboration with the IB Coordinator and participation in curriculum meetings will be essential to ensure alignment with educational goals.

Requirements:

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.

Experience Requirements: 1-10 years of teaching experience, preferably within an IB framework.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in lesson planning and curriculum development.
• Strong knowledge of classroom management techniques.
• Familiarity with student engagement strategies.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of students.

Certifications: IB certification is a plus but not mandatory.
