We are looking for a highly hands-on Manufacturing Engineer for our MNC client with strong practical exposure in CNC machining operations, process engineering, tooling, and fixture development.

Preferred Industry: Pump / Valve / Pharma / Dairy Equipment Manufacturing / Machinery Manufacturing / Aerospace, etc.
Responsibilities & Key Result Areas
CNC Process Engineering
- Develop and optimize machining processes for CNC Turning, VMC, HMC, and multi-operation machining.
- Define operation sequence, cutting parameters, and setup methodology.
- Improve productivity through:
- Cycle time reduction
- Setup reduction
- Tool life improvement
- Process stabilization
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes including machining, welding, press, polishing, assembly, etc.
Tooling & Fixture Management
- Selection and standardization of cutting tools, inserts, tool holders, fixtures, etc.
- Develop and improve fixture concepts for productivity and quality improvement.
- Coordinate with tool suppliers for technical support and optimization.
Shop Floor Production Support
- Provide hands-on technical support to production teams.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, tool failures, quality problems, and setup-related issues.
Continuous Improvement
- Drive Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
- Implement setup reduction (SMED) activities.
- Improve machine utilization and OEE.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities in machining and tooling.
- Conduct time studies, capacity analysis, and cost-benefit analyses.
Documentation & Standardization
- Develop and maintain standardized work instructions, process sheets, SOPs, and quality control procedures.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, routes, and BOMs.
- Work closely with Design Engineering, Quality, Costing, Production, and Project teams.
- Create 2D/3D designs, models, and assemblies using CAD software (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, etc.).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM).
Knowledge & Skills Required
