B. About this Role:

We are hiring a Political Content Writer to join our Communications team for the Goa region. You will create clear, impactful, and audience-focused content for political campaigns, social media, public outreach, speeches, press notes, and election communication. The candidate should have a strong understanding of local issues, political messaging, public sentiment, and Goa’s regional language and culture.

This role requires excellent writing, storytelling, and research skills, along with the ability to produce high-quality content under tight deadlines. You will work closely with graphic designers, video editors, social media teams, researchers, and campaign strategists to develop compelling social media posts, captions, video scripts, speeches, press notes, campaign messaging, and other communication material that strengthen the campaign narrative. This is a contract-based campaign engagement running through February 2027. Selected candidates will initially work remotely and should be ready to relocate to the Panaji office once intimated.

C. What Would This Role Entail?

• Write political content for social media posts, captions, reels, videos, posters, speeches, press notes, and campaign messages.
• Create content for Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp, and public outreach material.
• Prepare short, impactful scripts for political reels, public-issue videos, and campaign promos.
• Convert political ideas and ground-level issues into simple, relatable content for the public.
• Coordinate with video editors, designers, social media teams, media monitoring teams, and campaign managers.
• Write content in a tone that matches the candidate’s image, campaign direction, and communication strategy.
• Translate or adapt content between Konkani , Marathi, English, and Hindi as required.
• Track local issues, public concerns, opposition statements, and current political developments for content ideas.
• Ensure all content is fact-checked, clear, and suitable for public communication.
• Maintain confidentiality of campaign plans, drafts, and internal communication.

D. Necessary Skills:

• Prior experience in content writing, political campaigns, journalism, social media, PR, or public communication is preferred.
• Must be based in Goa or available to work in Goa during the contract period.
• Should be comfortable working in a fast-paced political environment.
• Own laptop and smartphone are preferred.
• Flexible working hours during campaign events and urgent political activities.
• Portfolio, writing samples, or previous campaign/social media content will be preferred.
• Strong writing skills for political, social media, and public communication content.
• Good understanding of Goan politics, local issues, public sentiment, and regional culture.
• Ability to write short, catchy, and impactful content for digital platforms.
• Basic knowledge of social media trends, reels, video scripts, captions, and campaign creatives.
• Good research and fact-checking ability.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle urgent campaign requirements.
• Ability to simplify political topics for the general public's understanding.

E. Mandatory Language Requirement:

• Candidates must know Goa’s local language - Konkani.
• Knowledge of Marathi, Hindi, and English will be an added advantage.
• Must be able to understand local political discussions, public issues, speeches, news clips, and public feedback in Konkani.
• Ability to write, translate, or summarise local-language content for campaign use is preferred.

F. Good to Have Skills:

• Prior experience in graphic design, preferably for social media, digital campaigns, or political/campaign content.
• Knowledge of Konkani, Marathi, Hindi, and English is an added advantage.
• Ability to set and proofread local-language (especially Konkani) text accurately in creatives is preferred.
