Role Purpose:

The TGT SST (Trained Graduate Teacher in Social Science) will play a crucial role in shaping students’ understanding of Social Studies, History, Geography, Civics and Government, and Economics. This position is integral to promoting critical thinking and encouraging active participation in the learning process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Engage students through interactive teaching methodologies, fostering a passion for Social Studies.
• Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to design interdisciplinary projects and enhance the overall educational experience.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and school activities.
• Participate in professional development sessions and contribute to the overall growth of the teaching community.

Requirements:

Education Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant field with a specialization in Social Studies.

Experience Requirements:

2-10 years of teaching experience in Social Studies or related subjects.

Technical Skills:

- Proficient in lesson planning and curriculum development.

- Knowledge of classroom management techniques.

- Familiarity with educational technology and digital resources.

Soft Skills:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with students and parents.

- Adaptability and creativity in teaching methods.

Certifications:

- Valid teaching certification as per local regulations.
