We are looking for a strong Plant Head to lead our Barjora manufacturing operations.

Role Summary

The Plant Head will be responsible for overall plant performance across production, maintenance, quality, safety, cost control, manpower productivity, compliance, and operational discipline.

The role requires a hands-on manufacturing leader who can drive efficiency, reliability, accountability, and continuous improvement while supporting digital systems, automation, Industry 4.0, and data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead overall operations of the Barjora plant.
• Drive production planning, output, yield, quality, cost, and delivery performance.
• Improve plant productivity, equipment uptime, process discipline, and resource utilization.
• Strengthen preventive maintenance, breakdown control, and plant reliability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, statutory, environmental, and operational standards.
• Build strong review systems, SOPs, reporting discipline, and plant-level accountability.
• Drive cost control across manpower, power, consumables, maintenance, inventory, and wastage.
• Support implementation of digital reporting, automation, Industry 4.0, AI-enabled analytics, ERP/SAP, and operational excellence initiatives.
• Lead and develop plant teams while maintaining discipline and a performance-driven culture.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 15+ years of experience in plant operations, preferably in steel, metals, cement, heavy engineering, manufacturing, or process industries.
• Prior experience as Plant Head, Unit Head, Works Head, Operations Head, or Factory Head.
• Experience in rolling mills, billets, TMT/rebar, SMS, or related steel manufacturing environments will be preferred.
• Strong understanding of production, maintenance, quality, safety, cost control, manpower productivity, and plant performance metrics.
• Exposure to Industry 4.0, automation, digital dashboards, ERP/SAP, AI-enabled analytics, or modern manufacturing technologies will be an advantage.
• Hands-on, disciplined, mature, and capable of leading large cross-functional plant teams.
