Role Purpose and Impact:
The SST PRT (Social Studies Primary Resource Teacher) plays a pivotal role in shaping young minds and nurturing a passion for social studies, history, geography, economics, civics, and cultural studies. This position is essential for creating a stimulating and supportive classroom where students can explore, learn, and grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging and age-appropriate curriculum aligned with educational standards in social studies and related subjects.
- Create detailed lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and promote student engagement.
- Manage classroom effectively, fostering a positive learning environment and addressing behavioral issues as they arise.
- Utilize innovative teaching strategies to enhance student participation and understanding of complex concepts.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, providing constructive feedback to support learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to create interdisciplinary learning experiences and share best practices.
- Engage with parents and the community to build relationships that support student development and learning.
Team Collaboration:
As part of the teaching department, the SST PRT will collaborate closely with fellow teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational experience for all students.
Requirements:
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a relevant field with a focus on Social Studies or related subjects.
Experience Requirements:
2 to 10 years of experience in teaching social studies or related subjects at the primary school level.
Technical Skills:
- Curriculum development and lesson planning expertise.
- Strong understanding of educational technology and its application in the classroom.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Certifications:
