Job Purpose
To ensure effective implementation of Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) standards at Wind Project sites by promoting a proactive safety culture, ensuring statutory compliance, minimizing risks, and supporting safe project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and monitor EHS policies, procedures, and safety standards at project sites. Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards. Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, client requirements, and company EHS guidelines. Facilitate permit-to-work systems for high-risk activities such as lifting operations, work at height, excavation, electrical works, and WTG erection activities. Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, awareness programs, and specialized training sessions for employees, contractors, and workmen. Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; recommend corrective and preventive actions and ensure timely closure. Monitor safety performance and maintain EHS records, reports, and documentation as per company requirements. Ensure proper usage and availability of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) across project locations. Coordinate emergency preparedness drills, first-aid arrangements, and fire safety management activities. Support safe execution of WTG erection, crane operations, foundation works, transmission line activities, and associated project operations. Monitor contractor compliance with EHS requirements and drive continual improvement initiatives. Participate in management reviews and provide recommendations for enhancing site safety performance.
