ABOUT THE ROLE
A full-set transactional accounting role within a fast-growing education group of 120+ people. You will own the day-to-day bookkeeping across the group's entities - processing, reconciling, and closing with accuracy and consistency. Whilst you work remotely, you are a core part of the finance team, expected to be responsive, proactive, and fully embedded in the rhythm of the business. This role suits someone with 3–5 years of solid bookkeeping experience who takes genuine pride in keeping clean books.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily transactional processing
- Maintain full sets of accounts: GL, AP, AR, fixed assets, accruals, and prepayments
- Process supplier invoices, staff expense claims, and customer receipts accurately and promptly
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and flag issues to the Accountant
Reconciliations and close
- Perform weekly and monthly bank reconciliations across all entities
- Assist with month-end close activities including journal entries and intercompany reconciliations
- Maintain organised, audit-ready supporting documents for all transactions
Compliance and reporting support
- Assist with GST data compilation and quarterly filing preparation
- Prepare supporting schedules for the Accountant and Finance Manager as required
- Liaise with internal teams to resolve billing or payment queries
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on bookkeeping or transactional accounting experience
- Solid understanding of AP, AR, bank reconciliation, and basic month-end processes
- Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping and chart of accounts structure
- Detail-oriented and disciplined; documents work clearly and consistently
- Good written English; responsive and reliable in a remote team setting
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Xero or a comparable cloud accounting platform
- Exposure to multi-entity environments
- Basic familiarity with Singapore GST requirements
