Job Description

About the company for Stolt Nielsen: Stolt-Nielsen is a family-founded global leader in bulk-liquid and chemical logistics, transportation, and storage, known for its commitment to safety, service excellence, and innovation. At the Stolt-Nielsen Digital Innovation Centre, we bring this legacy into the future — building smarter systems, driving digital transformation, and shaping what's next for the world of logistics. Here, you’re encouraged to think boldly, challenge convention, and help move today’s products toward tomorrow’s possibilities. About the Role: As a Low-Code Developer (OutSystems), you will be part of our growing engineering practice that’s enabling rapid delivery of business applications across Stolt-Nielsen. You’ll use OutSystems — and potentially other low-code platforms — to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade applications that are robust, scalable, and maintainable. Our OutSystems landscape consists of business- and mission critical applications, at the heart of our business. You will work closely with product owners, business analysts, and other engineers to translate business requirements into high-quality digital solutions. Your understanding of OutSystems architecture, design patterns, and enterprise integration practices will help ensure our applications are built the right way — both functionally and technically. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving business problems creatively while maintaining an engineering mindset. Candidates with a software engineering background (or training in traditional programming languages) will have an advantage, as they can better leverage OutSystems’ extensibility and understand underlying software principles. We take Digital seriously. We invest in our teams through training and mentoring and enable them with the required tools to work in a modern way. As we are further building up our engineering practice, there is ample room for you to contribute, take initiative and shape the future of our ways of working and technology landscape. What You’ll Do: Design, develop, and maintain applications using Out Systems following enterprise best practices. Apply OutSystems architecture principles, Architecture Canvas, and design patterns for scalable, modular solutions. Work with product teams to analyze requirements, model data, design workflows, and implement user interfaces. Integrate applications with external systems and APIs, including Azure and on-premises services. Collaborate with UI/UX designers, back-end developers, and DevOps engineers to deliver complete, high-quality products. Support testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of performance and security in deployed apps. Document design decisions, architecture diagrams, and deployment configurations. Contribute to the Low-Code Center of Excellence, sharing knowledge and helping define reusable components and templates. Stay current with Out Systems features, upgrades, and ecosystem trends, while also exploring other low-code platforms. What You’ll Bring: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). Proven experience in developing and deploying OutSystems applications in an enterprise environment. Understanding of OutSystems Architecture Canvas, lifecycle management, and deployment pipelines. Familiarity with OutSystems UI patterns, data modeling, security, and integration techniques. Knowledge of software engineering fundamentals — version control, modularity, reusability, and testing. Experience integrating OutSystems with REST APIs, databases, and external identity providers (e.g., Azure AD). Excellent communication and collaboration skills; ability to translate business needs into working software. Eagerness to learn and share knowledge within a cross-functional engineering community. Must Have Skills: Out systems/ Mendix/ Equivalent Low Code Platform OR familiarity with modern JS (JavaScript) web frameworks (React/ Next etc) would be desirable, as well as working familiarity of web design patterns/modern web development tools. Python knowledge also desirable. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Understanding of Relational Databases (SQL) preferred. Understanding of how to integrate and implement APIs including simple auth.
