About the Role
As a Frontend Engineer Intern at Pratilipi, you will play a meaningful role in shaping how millions of readers and writers interact with our platforms every day. This internship places you right at the convergence of product, engineering, and marketing, where your work will directly influence user journeys, engagement, and the overall product experience.
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, experiment, and ship features end-to-end. From building new interfaces to fine-tuning performance, you’ll be working in an environment that values speed, ownership, and constant learning.
What You’ll Be Doing
Build & Ship Impactful Features
Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to conceptualize, prototype, and launch new user-facing features.
Implement scalable, intuitive, and high-performance UI components using Nuxt.js, Tailwind CSS, and modern JavaScript.
Enhance User Experience
Investigate, debug, and resolve UI/UX inconsistencies.
Address performance issues and contribute to maintaining a seamless, responsive experience across devices.
Experiment & Iterate
Support rapid A/B experiments, feature rollouts, and data-driven UI improvements.
Take features from idea to production with clean execution and thoughtful user-centric design.
What We Expect From You
Must-Haves
Practical experience with React.js or Vue.js.
Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and responsive UI development.
Hands-on experience with Tailwind CSS and building accessible, performant interfaces.
Understanding of state management tools like Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
Strong problem-solving skills and a natural curiosity to explore and adopt new technologies.
Nice-to-Haves
Experience with Next.js or Nuxt.js.
Familiarity with TypeScript.
Understanding of frontend performance optimization.
Awareness of SEO-friendly UI development principles.
Security & Data Handling Responsibilities
Handle sensitive data responsibly in compliance with the DPDP Act, ISO-27001:2022, and Pratilipi’s internal security policies — ensuring data privacy, confidentiality, and NDA obligations at all times.
