The team The Deloitte South Asia strategic growth team serves as a central pillar driving growth and transformation within DSA, spanning several business lines and various technology functions. Job Title: Java + GCP Developer (Consultant / Senior Consultant) Location: Gurgaon, India Experience: 6–9 years (Mandatory: Strong Java Development + GCP Cloud Expertise) About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled Java + GCP Developer to design, develop, and deploy cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform . This role involves building scalable backend systems using Java and leveraging GCP services for enterprise-grade solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Java-based applications optimized for cloud environments. Design and implement microservices architecture using Spring Boot or similar frameworks. Integrate applications with GCP services such as Compute Engine, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Storage, Big Query, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Functions. Implement CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments on GCP. Collaborate with architects and DevOps teams to ensure secure, scalable, and cost-efficient solutions . Troubleshoot and optimize application performance in a cloud-native environment . Required Skills & Qualifications: Mandatory: 6–9 years of experience in Java development (Core Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs). Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. Strong understanding of microservices architecture and API development . Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Familiarity with Terraform / Deployment Manager for infrastructure automation. Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar). Good understanding of cloud security best practices and IAM . Preferred Skills: Exposure to Big Data services on GCP (Big Query, Dataflow). Experience with message queues (Pub/Sub, Kafka). GCP Certification (Professional Cloud Developer or Architect) is a plus.
